Colleges Online Classes in Distance Education Degree Program

I applied for a job with Best Buys Geek Squad tonight.
I really think I would do a great job but I’m not sure if I actually have a chance at being taken on.
For starters I’m a woman l and most geek squads are composed of men. I’m also only 17 and I won’t be 18 until August. They say they hire at 16 but everybody that works at the local best buy looks 21 or over.

I’m just about as familiar with the Macintosh OS and their line of electronics as you can get. There isn’t a whole lot I don’t know about them. I have not one but two certifications from Adobe (which are fairly hard to get especially before you even graduate from HS). I’ve been in Web Design/Informational Technology classes for 4 years and I’m the last standing girl who’s stayed in the program for all 4 years. I’ve also taken Media Productions for 4 years.

There wasn’t enough space on the online application to put down my experience with Apple computers but I did put down my certifications and how long I’ve been taking the previously mentioned classes.

For their personality survey I put down honest answers that I think gave a pretty good reflection of me but I didn’t answer everything perfectly (you could choose between 4 options so I couldn’t actually type responses) because I didn’t want to be fake.

I put down that I could work night shifts everyday but I can’t work day shifts (my mom has the car during the day).

I really want the job though and I feel like the online application didn’t allow enough room to express yourself as an individual so I’m scared they’re only going to see “17 year old girl” and laugh.

Do you think I might have a chance’
